This course provides an introduction to the visual arts. It concentrates on the principles of drawing, discussing the roles of an art critic and an art historian. Although unit evaluations and progress tests are objective, graded projects allow students to create original works of art. NOTE: To complete this course entirely online (without Mail Processing), students will need access to a scanner or a method of taking pictures of their drawings for submission. Specific instructions on how to submit projects electronically are given in the online course management system.
