This introduction to public speaking will help students become more aware of different kinds of public speaking, such as informative and persuasive speaking, and to realize that public speaking involves both formal speeches to an audience as well as informal discussions with smaller groups of people. Students are also taken through step-by-step processes for developing and delivering several kinds of speeches.
