In this course, students will read fiction, nonfiction, and drama. They will explore how authors develop plot in short stories, autobiography, biography, and drama. The readings will introduce many kinds of nonfiction and allow students to explore drama as a form of literature. The written projects in this course help students gain experience in research and writing, as well as in developing and presenting personal opinions. The course also includes lessons on grammar and sentence structure that will help students develop an individual writing style.
