In AP® Computer Science Principles, students are introduced to the field of computer science. This course allows them to learn about various topics in support of College Board’s Big Ideas for the course. Topics covered include data representation, the binary number system, abstraction, the Internet, digital dilemmas, variables, conditionals, functions, lists, loops, traversals, parameters, returns, libraries, data, cybersecurity, and algorithms.

Prerequisite: One year of algebra
